About "Learn to Skate"

Learn to skate has been running at the Bourne End Junior Sports Club since 2009, the idea is to provide the opportunity to children and  adults to teach the basics of inline skating and to progress their individual skills to a level where they feel confident to skate and then simply keep improving as the weeks and months go by. Part of the "Learn to Skate Programme " , is our Learn to Play inline Hockey" , this  is our step two of our programme with step 3 being joining our Bourne End Buffaloes Inline Hockey Club at the age that they qualify for, we have all ages available starting with under 10s upto adult .

Well our "Learn To Skate"  Session has just had its third birthday and has had a very successful year, every single skater has improved from when they first started, plus have also developed their interpersonal skills, social skills.

Within the "Learn to Skate Session's " we aim at encouraging the skaters confidence not only with their skating but also personal development,  we get the kids to tell us what THEY have improved with and what THEY want to learn !.

This is so the session stays enjoyable and exciting!.

The learn to skate session is the first step of a 3 step programme aimed at giving children from the age of 9 upwards the chance to learn how to skate, and then once they have progressed, they can then start to learn how to play hockey in a group purely for their skill level. And then once confident can join the Bourne End Buffaloes Inline Hockey Team.
